Shopicks exists to help UK consumers make better purchasing decisions through understandable buying guides, useful comparisons and transparent product research.
Why we started
Buying something as ordinary as an air fryer, a kettle or a face cleanser can mean wading through hundreds of near-identical listings, confusing specifications and reviews you cannot verify. We think choosing well should be easier than that.
Shopicks is a new, independent publication. We are building it slowly and deliberately, one useful guide at a time, rather than publishing thin pages at scale.
What we do
- Buying guides that explain what matters in a product category and recommend products for different needs and budgets.
- Comparisons that set two options side by side and give a clear verdict for each kind of household.
- Explainers that make specifications, jargon and trade-offs easy to understand.
What we promise
We tell you plainly how each product was assessed. At present, all of our recommendations are based on careful research into specifications, manufacturer information and comparison with competing products. We only describe hands-on testing when it has genuinely taken place, and we label it clearly.
We write for UK readers: UK retailers, UK availability, UK homes and UK weather.
How we are funded
Shopicks earns a commission when readers buy through some links to Amazon.co.uk, as a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme. That does not decide which products we recommend. Our affiliate disclosure explains the current position in full.
