Health & Beauty

Health and beauty products are bought again and again, so small differences in value and suitability add up. We focus on widely available UK brands and say plainly who each product is for.

Browse by skin care, hair care, nails and makeup, personal care, wellbeing or premium beauty. Every pick has a plain verdict, a short list of advantages, a drawback where we can support one, and a link to check the current price on Amazon.co.uk. Our research-based approach and a Trend Watch of what UK retailers are reporting sit below the picks.

General information only, not medical advice.

One explicit editorial choice per subcategory, picked to illustrate it. Featured picks are not a ranking and are not the result of side-by-side testing.

What UK shoppers are paying attention to

Themes reported by UK retailers and the beauty trade, summarised in our own words with the sources linked. These describe themes, not products: related picks simply fit a theme and are not evidence that any one product is trending.

Helpful to know

How we selected these products

Shopicks selects Health & Beauty products through desk research, not hands-on testing. We have not tested any product listed here and we do not describe results we have not seen.

For each pick an editor reads the product’s listing details and, for the featured picks, the manufacturer’s own UK product page where we could access it. We then look at what the product says it is for, its format and specifications (size, count, shade or variant), who it appears to suit, any limitation visible from that verified information, how well it fits its subcategory, and whether the linked Amazon.co.uk listing was available when an editor verified the ASIN.

We do not copy retailer reviews or star ratings, and we do not show prices or stock. Commission never decides what is included or featured.

Before you choose

Compare formats, not just names. A cleanser, a toner pad and a serum do different jobs, and a mask, a spray and a shampoo are used in different ways. Decide what you want the product to do first.

Check the variant carefully. Shade, size, pack count and version can differ between listings that look alike. Makeup shades and sizes are the usual traps, so read the full title on the Amazon.co.uk listing before you buy.

Know whether you are buying a refill or a complete product. Razor blade refills and replacement blade heads need a compatible handle or device, which is not included.

Read the manufacturer’s directions and ingredient list on the pack, especially if you have allergies or avoid certain ingredients. Shopicks gives general information only, not medical advice; for a skin, hair or health concern, ask a pharmacist or doctor.

Buy for your own preferences. Something being fashionable is a reason to look, not a reason to buy.

The picks here include established everyday products and newer, trend-aligned choices. We do not label any individual product as trending, viral or best-selling, and a trend is not automatically better.

Trend Watch on this page tracks themes reported by UK retailers and the beauty trade, with sources. Its related picks are products that fit a theme, not evidence that the product itself is in demand.

Frequently asked questions

Do you list medicines or prescription products?

No. Health & Beauty covers everyday cosmetics, toiletries and wellbeing accessories. We do not list prescription or pharmacy-only medicines, and we make no medical claims.

Why don’t the product cards show prices?

Prices change constantly and Amazon only allows them to be shown from its own site or API, so each card links to Amazon.co.uk where you can check the current price and availability.

Are these the most popular or trending products?

Not necessarily. The picks mix established everyday products with newer ones, and we do not call any individual product trending, viral or best-selling. Trend Watch covers themes reported by UK retailers and the trade, and the featured picks are our neutral editorial examples rather than a ranking.

How are Health & Beauty products chosen?

We shortlist widely available UK brands, read the product details and manufacturer claims, and note where a claim is unclear. Our How We Review page explains the process.

What is the Premium Beauty section?

It collects luxury beauty brands for readers who want to spend more. Commission rates never decide which products we choose or how we rank them.
